"The older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to take care of their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God." Titus 2: 4-5

Fun in the Sun
What a great thing it is to be able to enjoy grandchildren. Yesterday we worked down at Amy’s- helping out with some home repairs and general upkeep and as a reward…they let us bring 3 kids home! We told them that they could go out fishing this morning when they got up but we probably wouldn’t be up early! I guess we should have set the parameters a little tighter! They got up at 4 a.m….and had all kinds of adventures…seeing the raccoon- hearing the deer- everything but fish! They came back up at I don’t know when and played Monopoly until 6 when it got light! We rolled out about 9- got the boat in the lake and had lots of fun fishing with the three. On the way out to the fishing hole one of the girls lost her FAVORITE fishing hat…so we turned the boat around only to see it sinking! Not being able to maneuver the boat close enough to the hat in time to save it, Tori said- “Can I jump in and swim for a it?” When the answer “yes” came…plop, plop, plop…all three kids were over the side of the boat in the water! It was such a sight. Later Tori spied a lure stuck on a log…so again…plop-splash!! Into the water to retrieve the lure…those 2 things were the only things that were caught all day but we had a great time!

Sounds like you guys had a fun day! I'm glad that you got to spend some time out on the lake!
My children have always adored my parents. They have a wonderful relationship with them even now when they are grown. One of the highlights of coming home from Texas is always seeing Grandpa and Grandma. What a blessing for your grandchildren to spend this time with you! They will always cherish the memories.
